Was at Seaview tonight for the top of the table Irish League clash between Crusaders and Linfield, as both teams started the game level on points but Linfield having a game in hand and a vastly superior goal difference advantage.

Sometimes you watch a football match, and you just know it’s going to end 0-0, and this was one of those games.

That was, until five minutes from time, when Robert Garrett scored after taking what seemed like an eternity to take the shot.

Seaview of course, is one of my favourite grounds for amateur photography, but work on the ground meant that the Shore Road end was out of bounds and supporters were segregated, with Crusaders fans housed in the Railway End.

As a result, I found myself at the side of the pitch, but I got into a good position for photo taking, and ended up with some not bad photos.

My favourite one is that of Jim Ervin waiting to take a throw-in.

Hopefully, tonight’s result will go towards ensuring that I get the photos I want on April 30th.
