Last night, I was at Ravenhill for the Rabo Direct Pro 12 game between Ulster and Cardiff Blue, my first ever non European game at Ravenhill.

Ulster needed to win to get a home play-off and started nervously, with Cardiff the better side, but were only three points (13-10) ahead.

Ulster needed to dramatically improved, and came out a changed team, with wave after wave of attack, usually ending in points being scored. Cardiff couldn’t even get out of their own half at times.

It was also my first opportunity to see some of the new rebuilding work for the first time, and the two new stands look impressive. Hope to catch a game in them once they are built. Always thought Ravenhill would be a much better stadium if there were supporters behind each goal.

Managed to get some ok positions for shooting, and got some nice shots.

An impressive display saw Ulster home 37-13 to set up a home Semi-Final against Llanelli Scarlets. Anyone fancy sorting me out for a ticket?
